COMMUNICATION

The importance of communication

Communication is the mode of transfer of information from
one person
to another. What would we have without communication?
Any communication; this means body language, speaking, hand gestures, sign language, anything. All of those are forms of communication. How would the world work if we couldn't communicate?? miscommunication, or in this case LACK of communication would result in a human hell in my opinion. we'd no longer be able to work, to get money, and to love. We'd be separated from each other completely, no matter how close we are to each other.
communication is all that bonds us!!

Types of Communication

Communication can occur via various processes and methods and depending on the channel used and the style of communication there can be various types of communication.

Types of Communication Based on Communication Channels

Based on the channels used for communicating, the process of communication can be broadly classified as verbal communication and non-verbal communication. Verbal communication includes written and oral communication whereas the non-verbal communication includes body language, facial expressions and visuals diagrams or pictures used for communication.
  • Verbal Communication

Verbal communication is further divided into written and oral communication. Oral communication can either be face-to-face communication or a conversation over the phone or on the voice chat over the Internet. Spoken conversations or dialogs are influenced by voice modulation, pitch, volume and even the speed and clarity of speaking. The other type of verbal communication is written communication. Written communication can be either via snail mail, or email.
  • Nonverbal Communication

Non-verbal communication includes the overall body language of the person who is speaking, which will include the body posture, the hand gestures, and overall body movements. Non verbal communication can also be in the form of pictorial representations, signboards, or even photographs, sketches and paintings.
Types of Communication Based on Style and Purpose

Based on the style of communication, there can be two broad categories of communication, which are formal and informal communication that have their own set of characteristic features.
  • Formal Communication

Formal communication includes all the instances where communication has to occur in a set formal format. Formal communication can also occur between two strangers when they meet for the first time. Hence formal communication is straightforward, official and always precise and has a stringent and rigid tone to it.

  • Informal Communication

Informal communication includes instances of free unrestrained communication between people who share a casual rapport with each other. Informal communication requires two people to have a similar wavelength and hence occurs between friends and family.

Malaysian Road Accident Statistics

The current road safety system in Malaysia is currently poor. The death rate should rate should not be this high, even for a developing country, and not only that, but whenever we on the highway, we would see an entire family on one motorcycle. Driving in Malaysia has it's dangers-with a very high per capita fatality rate-26 people per 100,000 are killed in traffic crashes. Each year there are about 6,300 fatal accidents.

A head-on collision between a Perodua Kancil and an old Mitsubishi Lancer

Accident would happened if we take it easy and this tragedy do not happen if we drive carefully. It is has with many factors such as driver bahaviour. When drive the car, they must controlling the cars including a good awreness of the car's size and capabilities. Reading and reacting to road conditions, weather, road signs and the environment are also the factors. Only with this mistake, we might be into the dangerous situation. Alertness and reading are the bahaviour of other drivers. Speed choice are also the factor that the accident would happened. As an example that most crashes related to speed involve speed too fast for the conditions.
That the risk of being injured increases with speeds much faster then the median speed. The drivers are also having an problem with their selfn such as poor eyesight, old age, excessive alcohol and drug use. So as a consumer of vehicles, we must take serious on this issue.

Based on the graph an increment in overall populations does not necessarily mean there will be more vehicle ownership. In Malaysia vehicle ownership increase steadily. The number of road accidents per 1000 vehicles decrease over the years. The number of registered vehicle increase from 10.6 millions to 15.8 million and the number of deaths shows small increment.
The conclusion is the Commercial Vehicles Licensing Board (CLVB), RTD, JPJ and Traffic Police should play their part in ensuring safety on our roads and highways. The CVLB has done noting to enforce license requirements for public transport and has allowed road-unworthy buses to run. The safety should be seen in a wider context than simply accident prevention. We need to consider the wider effects of traffic accidents on the victims as well as their families and dependets. Being incapacitated in a road accident may mean losing one's livelihood and being unable to support a family.

So, i think Malaysia Road Accident Statistics will increase if we do not change our attitude from bad to positive attitude. As a result, we might be aware while driving the vehicles, no matter on different situations.

What HARAJUKU is about..

HARAJUKU

Harajuku (原宿 "meadow lodging") is the common name for the area around Harajuku Station on the Yamanote Line in the Shibuya ward of Tokyo, Japan. Every Sunday, young people dressed in a variety of styles including gothic lolita, visual kei, and decora, as well as cosplayers spend the day in Harajuku socializing. The fashion styles of these youths rarely conform to one particular style and are usually a mesh of many. Most young people gather on Jingu Bridge, which is a pedestrian bridge that connects Harajuku to the neighboring Meiji Shrine area.

Harajuku Hair Style:-

"With your underground malls in the world of Harajuku
Putting on a show, whe
n you dress up in your clothes Wild hair color and cell phones Your accessories are dead on"

That's the lyric from Gwen Stefani song entitled Harajuku Girls. The song expresses her admiration on Harajuku style. Harajuku is an area around Tokyo's Harajuku Station. This area is the center of boys and girls fashion style and internationally well known for its cultures. They usually wear fashionably unique clothes. Ranging from gothic style, hip hop, punk, to the style of anime character. The specialty of Harajuku style lies on its glamorous beads, harmonizing dark and bright theme, and melting the feminine and masculine element, both from its style as well as the function. The style is actually divided into various styles such as Lolita, Kogal, Gongaru, Cosplay (costume play), Yamanba, and many more.

The extreme costume from Harajuku is also supported by the extreme of make up and hairstyle. The Harajuku hair style is actually extreme, glamorous, and eye catching. To apply harajuku hair, you should razor your hair, make it wild, let the hair down, & dye your hair (usually with bright color).

General Conclusion:-

Although there are many conservative people and areas in Tokyo and Japan, Harajuku is where the most -- how should I put it -- the most free, innovative, uninhibited and "different" type of youngsters gather. Or you can say that's where the weirdos end up.

In Japan, where conformity, harmony and togetherness is valued so much, Harajuku is where most adults and even many young people will frown or look away, but on the other hand is considered the place to find the latest fashion, art and "trend" by some.

Harajuku has been the center of this particular fashion trend for over 3 decades now, I believe.

Since there are many styles in the "latest trend," there is probably no single Harajuku style -- many new styles are born, and many die away while other styles stay, and maybe become the mainstream in a few years.

To know what Harajuku is like today, you probably have to be there today. That's all I can say about this topic.
